Rep. Walle Issues Statement Demanding Transparent Investigation Following Fatal Shooting by ICE Officer

Houston, TX — On July 7th, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed in the East End neighborhood of Magnolia Park by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer.

Representative Armando Walle (TX-140) issued the following statement:

“I stand with my fellow elected officials and community advocates in their demands for a thorough, independent investigation. The public deserves full transparency about what happened on Tuesday morning.

“I am praying for the family of Mr. Araujo for the tragic loss of their loved one.”
