HD 140 Constituent Services Manager

State Representative Armando Walle (Texas House District 140) is seeking a Constituent Services Manager position in House District 140 in North Houston. The job is a full-time, in-person position that reports to the District Director. The start date will be fall of 2025. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the District Director in running the District Office, including managing daily operations, supervising district staff and interns and maintaining the Representative's district schedule;

• Serve as point of contact for the district office, and maintains positive working relationships with opinion leaders and district stakeholders;

• Maintain an active presence within the community, including attending evening and weekend events;

• Staff the Representative at events in and around House District 140;

• Assist District Director in planning and hosting events in the District for constituents such as: town halls, holiday parties, supply drives, etc.;

• Lead all constituent casework efforts for the District Office, under supervision of the District Director;

• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills;

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills;

• Ability to work non-traditional hours when necessary, including evenings, weekends and holidays;

• Excellent team player;

• Must have access to reliable transportation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge and understanding of Harris County/North Houston;

• Spanish language proficiency;

• Experience with event-planning and community engagement.

COMPENSATION

Salary will, at minimum, be $3,500 per month and will be commensurate with experience. This position also includes full health benefits.
